The annual Macau fireworks display is here

The 33rd Macau International Fireworks Display Contest, organized by the Macau Government Tourism Office, commenced on September 6 and will continue until October 6. During the festival, fireworks companies from 10 countries including Australia, South Africa, and South Korea will present approximately 18-minute performances on September 6, 13, and 20, as well as October 1 and 6, at 9:00 PM and 9:40 PM. Notably, Brazil's fireworks company makes its debut appearance, while firms from South Korea, Japan, Portugal, and the United Kingdom will also showcase their work in Macao for the first time.

To enhance the festive atmosphere, China and Portugal's fireworks companies will perform on the special National Day evening of October 1. The Macao Government Tourism Office has also organized the Fireworks Carnival at the Macao Science Center seawall, where audiences can savor delicacies, participate in games, and admire romantic fireworks displays.

First held in 1989, the Macau International Fireworks Display Contest has become a signature event for the city. This year's spectacle is expected to draw global visitors to witness this dazzling display.
