At 8 p.m. on October 1, the banks of Nanchang's Gan River burst into brilliant colors as the National Day fireworks gala, themed “Magnificent Splendor, Joyful Songs of Yuzhang,” unfolded as scheduled. The 45-minute audiovisual extravaganza delivered festive blessings to citizens and visitors alike.
The event innovatively employed a dual-launch format from both buildings and boats. Eco-friendly fireworks continuously bloomed for 120 seconds from the 60th floor and rooftop of the Twin Towers. Meanwhile, nine barges on Laoguanzhou waters formed a 1,300-meter-long fireworks corridor, with over 8,000 aerial fireworks creating a spectacular “river and sky in brilliant harmony.” A fleet of 5,000 drones formed nine intricate patterns—including the “Thousand Miles of Rivers and Mountains” scroll and a “Golden Five-Pointed Star”—harmonizing with four-color fireworks symbolizing the city's cultural heritage: “Ancient Silver,” “Revolutionary Red,” “Modern Blue,” and “Future Gold.”
The upgraded “Klein Blue Waterfall” and the grand finale—a 200-meter-tall “Grand Flower Basket” fireworks display—drew waves of cheers, while the drone-formed words “Lovely Nanchang” ignited the crowd's enthusiasm. Multi-departmental coordination ensured order through smart management and public transport shuttles, as spectators along both banks of the Gan River witnessed the romantic spirit and vibrant energy of this heroic city.
